三井不動産は「残しながら、蘇らせながら、創っていく」というコンセプトで日本橋の街づくりを進めています。昔の法律で、建物の高さは百尺に制限されていました。三井不動産の創業の地である「三井本館」はこの高さにおさめられています。法律が変わった現在でも、「日本橋三井タワー」や「COREDO室町」「日本橋室町三井タワー」といった新しい建物を建築する際は、基壇部の高さを百尺に合わせることで、日本橋の街のスカイラインを美しく保っています。のれんに描かれたその「線」は、過去から現在、そして未来へつなげる心意気であり、街で出会う人と人とのつながりを表現しています。のれんいっぱいに広がり、揺れる「線」は、時に「1本の線」となり、それは街でうまれる偶然の奇跡を意味しています。
Connecting Line
Based on the concept of「To Create While Retaining and Reviving」, Mitsui Fudosan is moving forward withneighborhood creationin the Nihonbashi District. Under the old laws,building height was restricted to 100 shaku (one shaku is equal to about 30.3 cm).”Mitsui Main Building”, where Mitsui Fudosan was founded, is 100 shaku in height. Even today, though the laws have changed, new buildings, such as the Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower,COREDOMuromachi, and Nihonbashi Muromachi Mitsui Tower, align the heights of the foundational bases to 100 shaku in order to retain the beauty of the Nihonbashi District skyline. The line drawn through the noren expresses the connections between people of the city and the spirit connecting the past, present, and future. Sometimes, the wavering lines that spread across the noren come together to form one line, an unexpected miracle born of the city.
