Dawn Film
On the occasion of this project themed on creating the future of Nihonbashi, we imagined the break of dawn as the start of something new and expressed the existence of things still unseen using metal leaf and monotone colors. The concept roots lie within the womb. There, a membrane of light symbolizes the future as it emits a faint glow. Silver leaf expresses this image. We selected the most suitable silver leaf and created this piece with the sensitivity for which Hakuza is so well known.

HAKUZA Inc.
Founded in 1953
A gold-leaf manufacturer originating in Kanazawa, Hakuza deals in gold leaf to restore important cultural properties, such as the gold leaf-covered Konjikido Building of the Chuson-ji Temple, and the Nishi Hongan-ji Temple in Kyoto. While preserving traditional skills, we also create new products with high added value, such as the development of a pure gold and platinum leaf based on the new concept of a pure gold and pure platinum alloy. Additionally, we spread the allure of precious metal leaves in a wide range of categories to create new spaces and services that can only be accomplished with the use of precious metal leaf. In addition to our flagship store, Hakuza Nihonbashi, located in the Nihonbashi District of Tokyo, we also have five themed shops in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture.
