東京を走らせる力
東京の中心を走るメトロらしさを表現するため、「東京」の文字の中を列車が走っているデザインにしました。また東洋最古の地下鉄という歴史らしく伝統的な手法の染で仕上げました。紋を囲う円はシールドマシンによって作られた地下空間を表し、横に走る線は地上と地下の中間にある地層であり、列車の疾走感も表現しています。
Keeping Tokyo on the Move
In order to appropriately represent Tokyo Metro, which operates lines that run through the heart of the metropolis, the noren design features a train running through the kanji characters for ”Tokyo.” Additionally, the noren was finished with traditional dyeing techniques worthy of the history of the Orient's oldest subway. The circle surrounding the crest represents the underground tunnels for the train lines. The horizontal lines represent the varying strata that lie between the surface and the underground, while also expressing the speedy movement of the train.
