野老紋様暖簾
“現代の唐草紋様”として長年制作を続けている、「野老紋/ PPP TOKOLO PATTERN」はどの辺を合わせても紋様がつながります。江戸時代より五街道の起点として、人や文化が行き交ってきた日本橋。一種類の版を24個組み合わせることにより、一つの円から広がっていく波紋のような紋様を描きました。
PPP TOKOLO PATTERN FOR NIHONBASHI
The PPP Tokolo Pattern is a modern arabesque pattern created by Mr. Tokoro that appears when the sides are put together. Since the Edo period, the Nihonbashi Bridge has been the starting point for the five major roads of Japan and the hub of people and culture. By combining 24 plates of one type, Mr. Tokoro created a design that resembles the ripples of a circle.

1969年東京生まれ。幼少時より建築を学び、江頭慎に師事。2001年9月11日より「繋げる事」をテーマに紋様の制作を始め、美術、建築、デザインの境界領域で活動を続ける。単純な幾何学原理に基づいて定規やコンパスで再現可能な紋と紋様の制作や、同様の原理を応用した立体物の設計/制作も行なっている。 主な作品に、大名古屋ビルヂング下層部ファサードガラスパターン、東京2020オリンピック・パラリンピックエンブレム、大手町パークビルディングのための屋外彫刻作品などがある。 2016年~ 東京大学工学部非常勤講師、東京造形大学客員教授 2017年~ 筑波大学非常勤講師 2018年~ 東京大学教養学部非常勤講師 2019年~ 宮城大学客員教授、四国大学特認教授
Born in Tokyo in 1969, he developed an interest in architecture in childhood and later studied under Shin Egashira. On September 11, 2001, he started creating family crests under the theme of ”linking” and has since worked in the boundary areas of art, architecture, and design. He creates crests and patterns that are reproducible using a ruler and a compass based on simple geometric principles and designs to create three-dimensional objects. His main works include the glass pattern for the lower façade of the Dai Nagoya Building, emblems for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, and outdoor sculptures for the Otemachi Park Building. 2016 - Part-time lecturer at the University of Tokyo, visiting professor at Tokyo Zokei University 2017 - Part-time lecturer at the University of Tsukuba 2018- Part-time lecturer in the College of Arts and Sciences, University of Tokyo 2019 - Visiting professor at Miyagi University, non-tenured professor at Shikoku University
