縞暖簾
「縞暖簾」という、新しい種類の暖簾を作った。今この世の中には「縄暖簾」とか「玉暖簾」とか「簾暖簾」という暖簾があるらしい。「縞暖簾」は、真っ黒な暖簾で布全体にプリーツがかかっていて、風に触れたり、人が通ったりすることで、黒の中からいろんな色が現れる。伝統とは、常に代謝して時代に合わせてアップデートされることで淘汰されずに残った数少ないもののことを言うのだと思う。日本橋という場所は、常にいろんな人やものが入っては出て、激しい代謝をすることで伝統を生み出してきた。この縞暖簾も「暖簾」というものが淘汰されずに残っていく一つのきっかけになってくれたらいいなと切に思う。
Shima-noren
This is a new type of noren called shima-noren. Today, there are several different types of noren—nawa-noren, tama-noren, and sudare-noren. The shima-noren is pleated black cloth where different colors appear when moved by a breeze or touched by people. I think tradition is something that has survived the test of time by continuously changing and updating. The Nihonbashi area has generated traditions by continuously processing changes as people come and go. I sincerely hope that this shima-noren will help the noren survive as a cherished tradition.

His works include advertisements and the design of invitation letters to the Lafore Grand Bazar in Harajuku; the logotype, symbol mark, and fuselage design for Zipair, an LCC associated with Japan Airlines; the launch of brand uniforms; the visual book design for Roppongi Hills Fashion; CD jackets for Akiko Yano, The Yellow Monkey, Radwimps, Masaki Suda, and Chara; and book designs for the photographers Mikiya Takimoto, Kishin Shinoyama, and Yoshiyuki Okuyama.
