TACTILE CLOTH
古来、内と外を分ける役割で生まれた暖簾はお店を表すシンボルとしてのコミュニケーションツールでもありました。その暖簾の材料である布地に774本の極細光ファイバーを織り込み、布そのものを発光させることで新たな暖簾の体験を生み出そうという試みです。デジタルセンシングを用い、布に触った箇所から様々な表情で起こるリアクション発光が楽しめます。
TACTILE CLOTH
Since ancient times, the noren, employed as a means to divide the inside from the outside, has served as a communication tool to symbolize the store. This attempts to generate a new noren experience by weaving 774 ultrafine optical fibers to emit light from the fabric of the noren. The use of digital sensing technology provides viewers with a variety of luminous reactions that emerge when touching the noren.

1976年 兵庫県淡路島生まれ。1999年 金沢美術工芸大学卒業。 家電メーカーにインハウスデザイナーとして務めた後、2008年にJIN KURAMOTO STUDIOを設立。以降、プロジェクトのコンセプトやストーリーを明快な造形表現で伝えるアプローチで家具、家電製品、アイウェアから自動車まで多彩なジャンルの製品デザイン開発に携わっている。素材や材料を直に触りながら機能や構造の試行錯誤を繰り返す実践的な開発プロセスを重視し、国内外の様々なクライアントにデザインを提供している。 iF Design Award、グッドデザイン賞、Red Dot Design Awardなど受賞多数。グッドデザイン賞審査委員。
JIN KURAMOTO STUDIO was founded in Tokyo in 2008 by Jin Kuramoto. It engages in various product design development such as furniture, home electric appliances, daily necessities by approach to introduce the essence of things into by clear formative expression. A lot of winning like IF Design award, Good Design award, Red Dot Design Award etc.

大学在学中にUX・UIを軸としたプロダクトデザインを学ぶ傍ら、映像制作やVJ、グラフィックデザイナーとして活動。特に音の要素を生かした作品の企画・制作を得意とし、2017年よりinvisible designs lab. 加入。 音という見えないものを、実際に触れたり、肌で感じることができるような意匠・体験設計をしています。
While learning UX/UI product design in college, he worked as an image creator, VJ, and graphic designer. In particular, his strengths are planning and creating works that leverage sound elements, and in 2017, he joined Invisible Designs Lab. He creates designs and experiences that make invisible sounds something one can touch and feel.
