藍から藍へ
3Dプリンタで着色・造形を行なった立体のれん。 表面の凹凸と特殊なデジタル着色によって、左右どちらから見ても白→藍へ向かうグラデーションが変化しないのれんを制作した。 古き日本橋の町並みにおいて、揃って店先に連なった藍色ののれんが横のつながりを生み、藍から藍へ、人々の行き交いを作り出していたことから、横へ広がる藍の役割がより強調されるようなのれんを新しいテクノロジーによってデザインした。
GRADATION TO GRADATION
This is a three-dimensional noren colored and created with a 3D printer. Because of the bumps on the surface and special digital coloring, the noren has a gradient color that always changes from white to indigo blue when seen from either right or left. In the old townscape of Nihonbashi, traditional indigo blue norens in front of each store created horizontal connections with each other and generated the flow of people. The 3D printed noren is designed to highlight this role by expressing the horizontally extending indigo blue using new technology.

This is a design engineering team of Shin Obinata, Ryoma Takamori, and Rina Kinoshita from Keio SFC Hiroya Tanaka Lab. By using a three-dimensional printer as a coloring tool and connecting colors from the digital world to physical matter, they create new color expressions. A member of the team was selected as one of the third-term creators of the Kuma Foundation.
